8PM-12PM Teen Dance - DJ - $5.00 per person

Saturday, September 13th

Noon to 1AM Kearney Firefighters Association antique fire apparatus show, fire muster and dance. (See 8PM Below )Open to the public. Antique fire truck rides from downtown Kearney to festival grounds.

Noon: Festival tent opens

2PM Pumping demonstration; registration for firefighters contest.

3PM Firefighter contest begins

7:00 PM Demolition Derby - at Jesse James Park. Admission $8 ages 11-up. Children under 11 admitted free. Presented by Auto Race Promotions. For specific information and description of the event, visit the DualDemoDerby website.

8PM-12PM Jesse James Festival Dance - Music by Outlaw Jim & The Whiskey Benders - Cost $6.00 per person - No carry in coolers or beverages. Over 21 Only. Hosted by the Knights of Columbus.

8:30 AM Judging of Mini-Mr & Miss James Festival ( Ages 2 & 3) and Little Mr & Miss James Festival ( Ages 4-6 ) Junior Mr-Miss Jesse James Festival ( Ages 7-10 ). Must be pre-registered by 9/12/2008. Contact Jani Zimmerman at (816) 456-6995. Judging at Kearney Feed & Supply Co.

1PM Horseshoe Pitching Tournament - $10 registration fee with form to be

1PM Co-ed Mud Volleyball Tournament. Registration form and fee required by 9/19/08. Forms will be available at Kearney Trust Bank. Contact Marva and Brian Keeth at (816) 699-4553. Return by mail with $70.00 registration to P.O. Box 536, Kearney, MO 64060 or drop off at Kearney Trust Company. Co-ed standard rules, 2 women per team, minimum of 6 team members. Guaranteed two games - Champion T-shirts. NO CARRY-IN COOLERS OR BEVERAGES !

2:30PM URA/MRCA Rodeo begins - Bareback riding, calf roping, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, barrel racing, team toping, bull riding, break away, over-40 calf roping. Admission - Ages 13 and up $6.00, children 6-12 $4.00. Also, Mutton Bustin', hosted by the Kearney Optimist Club; additional fee ( $20.00 ) and special clothing required. Check in at the Rodeo Arena at 1PM. Contact Kenny Barham at (816) 628-4567 for other info. Also on Sunday ( 9/17 2:30PM). Robinson Chainsaw carvings and sculptures will be auctioned off during the rodeo.

4:00 PM Announcement of Barbeque Contest Winners at the Grandstand
